Thanks for visiting my site. The Practice pages contain both new material and previously existing work. I am updating the previous material, so please make sure to visit again shortly.
My interests centre on the relationship between contemporary artistic practice and themes of presence and absence as found in certain philosophical and theological texts. My work develops from drawing, and includes writing, installation, digital photography with video, exhibition curation and work in community settings. The stimuli for my thinking and output come from looking, reading, research and my surroundings. My just-published book The Creative Yeargrew from the huge mullioned window of my recent studio in a church, which provided me with the philosophical, theological, visual and poetic impetus for the work I undertook. The book is my most recently completed work, but it exists alongside other strands of my practice, outlined above, and related work in progress. In this section please visit The Creative Year pages, and also please view the already-existing thinking drawing pages.
