Thanks for visiting my site. I am in the process of updating material so please make sure to visit me again shortly.
Plenty of opportunities exist today to speak and write on key issues, but there are also those times when our experiences exceed thought and work - a combination, perhaps, of a sense of history, place and the ties that bind us together.
My way of responding to this excess and 'the call of life' that I experience is to draw, since drawing is a to-hand and time-based medium that allows me to absorb my surroundings as I work, and because I have been drawing for about as long as I can remember.
I also find that lo-tech ways of working such as this interface with digital forms of visualisation, and with text, in rich and fascinating ways that prompt me to make videos, create installations with scrap materials, take photographs, and to design and to write either for commission or as the occasion demands.
